Four Coaches Appointed to Lead Thailand's National Teams

Under the new appointments, Thailand's national squads will be guided by the following coaches:

Thailand Men's National Team

• First Lieutenant Pornchai Kaokaew (Royal Thai Army)

• Phattharaphong Yupadee (Former Royal Thai Army)

Thailand Women's National Team

• Weerachai Saengsawang (Chonburi Sports School)

• Chakri Phuangcharoen (Nakhon Pathom Sports School)

The newly appointed coaching team will oversee Thailand's technical preparations, athlete development, and competitive readiness ahead of the upcoming world championship.

Appointments Follow Leadership Changes

The appointments follow TAT's decision to replace former national team coaches Sakda Janthawong and Sombat Bantee, who are currently under temporary suspension in connection with ongoing disciplinary proceedings related to the ISTAF Sepaktakraw World Cup Kuala Lumpur 2026.

ISTAF did not disclose further details regarding the disciplinary process, noting that personnel and management decisions remain under the authority of each Member National Federation.
