Former KPU Commissioner Achmad Herry said the visit to the Bung Karno Gallery provided an opportunity to revisit the vision and aspirations of Indonesia’s founding generation.
“Seeing firsthand the legacy of Bung Karno’s thoughts and struggles reminds us that building Indonesia is a responsibility shared by every citizen. We must preserve this spirit and translate it into tangible works for an Indonesia that is just, equitable, and prosperous,” Achmad Herry said.
Dhewi Ayu Gembirowati Soekarno Welcomes the Visit
Dhewi Ayu Gembirowati Soekarno welcomed the delegation and expressed her appreciation for their attention to and respect for Bung Karno’s legacy.
She also expressed hope that the values of unity and nationalism associated with Bung Karno would continue to serve as a guiding principle for various elements of Indonesian society in contributing to the country’s development.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Bung Karno Gallery, which houses historical collections and materials related to the life and struggle of the Proclaimer of Indonesian Independence.
The Iran-Indonesia Forum leadership expressed its commitment to drawing inspiration from Bung Karno’s legacy in strengthening fraternity, promoting national unity and contributing through tangible efforts for Indonesia.
